The article examines supervision as an important professional tool for developing self-awareness of clinical psychologists. The relevance of the study is due to the growing demands for reflective competence of specialists in the field of mental health, the ability to be aware of one's own emotional reactions, internal conflicts, and the peculiarities of interaction with clients (patients) in the therapeutic process. Within modern psychodynamic and intersubjective approaches, supervision is viewed not only as a form of professional monitoring of effectiveness or training, but as a space for deep reflection that contributes to the awareness of the psychologist's internal processes and the peculiarities of his professional functioning. The aim of the article is a theoretical analysis of the role of supervision in the formation and deepening of the self-awareness of clinical psychologists. The paper analyzes scientific approaches to understanding supervision as a reflexive and intersubjective process, within which the phenomena of transference, countertransference, isomorphism, and parallel process are actualized. It is shown that the supervisory space creates conditions for the specialist to become aware of his own reactions to the patient, to explore professional difficulties, and to transform personal experience into a resource for professional development. It is substantiated that the development of self-awareness of a clinical psychologist in the process of supervision occurs through reflection on the professional role, awareness of the boundaries of responsibility, processing of emotional experiences and integration of professional and personal experience. It is emphasized that systematic supervisory practice contributes to improving the quality of psychological care, prevents professional burnout and ensures the ethics of psychotherapeutic work. It is summarized that supervision is an important mechanism for the professional development of clinical psychologists and further professional development, as it contributes to the development of reflexivity, deepening self-understanding, and the formation of the ability to realize complex interpersonal processes that arise in therapeutic interaction.
