This article examines the characteristics of early adolescents’ attitudes toward training sessions. It justifies the importance of studying attitudes as an individual’s internal stance toward training as a form of work. The study involved 59 early adolescents, of whom 54 respondents participated in training sessions and constituted the main sample. The study results obtained through a survey using the author’s questionnaire “Attitudes Toward Training Sessions,” which included both closed-ended and open-ended questions, were analyzed. It was found that 63% of respondents have a very positive attitude toward participating in training, which they consider an important form of engagement; 25.9% of respondents indicate that their attitude is more positive than negative; and for 11.1% of respondents, participation in this type of activity elicits a neutral attitude, and for them, it is neither particularly important nor unimportant. It was found that the leading motivational factor for participating in training during early adolescence is internal motivation, which is linked to the desire for personal growth and self-discovery. Attitudes toward the training depend on a supportive psychological climate and a safe environment. We found that a significant proportion of respondents felt safe while participating in the training; they felt more comfortable during group interactions (60.7%) than when expressing their opinions in a general discussion (35.7%). Participation in training sessions evokes a positive emotional attitude among early adolescents, and in some situations–a neutral or ambivalent one, as respondents indicate various emotional experiences in their answers. Behavioral attitudes are linked to the predominance of internal motivation to be active. Recommendations are proposed to improve the attitudes of early adolescents toward training sessions.
