Potential is understood as the possibility of something that can be realized or developed. The concept of potential is analyzed as the capacity for creativity and the drive for self-development. The concept of creative potential developed by V.O. Molyako is examined. Within this framework, strategy is considered a systemic characteristic of personality–a complex and multifaceted system of adaptive and transformative human functions that form the foundation of an individual’s constructive potential in relation to their own behavior under new conditions, when the circumstances of activity change, and when new problems need to be solved.Strategies operate within a complex system of coordinates composed of relatively autonomous subsystems such as environment, personality, behavior, and others. The strategy of creative mental activity reveals the creative capacities of a specific individual, as its structure encompasses creative orientation, creative perception in the process of receiving and recognizing new information and new problem situations, projective actions, and constructive abilities in developing diverse models and technologies for solving current problems, as well as implementation actions aimed at materializing developed concepts.Different types of creative strategies are analyzed, whose functioning determines the style of a creative personality, which reflects the individual’s potential capabilities in various domains of activity. In the concept of creative mental activity developed by V.O. Molyako, it is viewed as an integral component of an individual’s intellectual potential, forming the basis of their transformative, constructive, and projective activity in both professional and everyday dimensions, manifesting at various stages of development. In developing the theory of the creative person, V.O. Molyako adheres to the idea of the creative essence of the human being as the core of personality, understanding it as an individual characterized by the ability to solve complex and relevant problems. The criteria and levels of development of creative thinking are substantiated. The levels of novelty in the products of creative mental activity are formulated: subjective novelty, objective novelty, and originality. The levels of systemic organization of an individual’s creative toolkit are distinguished. Finally, creative thinking is analyzed within the framework of the CARUS system.
